I'm sure that many people, those who know me (and most who don't) are wondering why in the world I would think that I need to "blog" about something. I decided to look up the definition of the term "blog"...
A blog (shortening of “weblog”) is an online journal or informational website that serves as a platform for a writer or even a group of writers to share their views on an individual subject.
Now that we have that straight, the question remains...Why do I "blog"? The answer is really quite simple. I am doing this for fun. After suffering for years through that torturous fantasy land of social media, I sought out a place where I could share about whatever's on my mind or impacting me in my life....and not be judged or attacked or ridiculed!
It's my "microphone", so I can pretty much say whatever I want. The thing is, I don't want to preach to anyone or force my views or opinions on them. I use this blog as a platform from which to share my passion for woodworking and, at the same time, be able to share a little of me.
I share it with family and friends who ask me what I've been up to...so, I direct them here to see how I spend a lot of my free time. While I do have physical limitations due to some health issues, I am able to work in my shop from time to time...AND, I love to make things. I take lots of pictures to remind myself of the many things I've created...my memory is not so good these days.
So, that explains the photos, but not the "blog".
I realize, most people will never read these words, but if they do, my only desire is that they understand...It isn't my place to judge anyone, condemn anyone or anything, or attempt to influence anyone's beliefs or opinions. I am who I am and you are who you are. Godspeed and more power to you in the journey of your life!!!
What I will share here will just be random thoughts about what's happening with me or my family, or maybe I'll tackle a tough subject like good restaurants, bad drivers, or crazy pets! You'll have to tune in each week to see what's cooking in my kitchen...so to speak! BTW...I also love to cook. Take one look at me and you KNOW that I am a "foodie"!
So...I hope I've explained my motivation for blogging. At this point, you may be saying to yourself..."I'm not too sure about that guy"!
Well, you wouldn't be alone! But, I am who I am...and in the immortal words of Bobby McFerrin....Don't Worry! Be Happy!
Till next time...PEACE!!!
