Today is Mother's Day! I am proud to say I'm a Mama's boy! I love my Mama. She spent her entire life sacrificing and caring for my brother and me. I don't even want to think about where I'd be if not for her. Every day that I'm in the shop working on something, she's on my mind. She was always my greatest source of encouragement and it's impossible to see anything I make without asking myself "Well Mom, what do think about this?"
She left us on July 7, 2018...but I can still feel her holding my hands and I can still hear her voice calling me "Jeffy". I wasn't ready to say goodbye, but I am thankful that she's at peace and I will see her again in Heaven. In the meantime, I will try to be the son, husband, father, and friend that she would want me to be.
If you see ANYTHING that I make, be assured, there is a little bit of my Mama built inside of it! I'm a Mama's boy and proud of it. This picture of this Cross is the VERY first piece I carved after I retired. It is nothing special to look at, but it is very special to me because I made it and gave it to her. If you offered her a million dollars for it, she would have said no...she kept it with her until she passed. I will keep it forever because it was made for her. I LOVE YOU MOM!
PEACE & LOVE
